    Special Events

    From Friday 01 May 2020 -  18:00
    To Sunday 03 May 2020 - 17:00

Are you trying to ‘fix’ yourself? The super ego is always pointing out your faults and telling you how to fix them. No matter how hard you try, how much you compensate, it is never enough for the ego. The truth is that there is nothing wrong with you. Ego relaxation helps you to surrender the powerful urge to try to fix yourself and to deepen into the ground of Grace.

This residential weekend retreat will focus on liberating your unnecessary suffering and stress patterns at the root. It offers a powerful invitation to address the important themes of your  life. Miranda will guide you on a powerful journey into compassion and unwinding your ego identity to reconnect with who you truly are: peace and joy.

You are invited to join Miranda Macpherson on a deeply transformative exclusive residential weekend retreat full of profound spiritual teaching, supported self-inquiry, meditation, chanting and prayer in a beautiful, peaceful setting only 30 mins from central London.

Miranda Macpherson is a contemporary spiritual teacher, feminine mystic and author of The Way of Grace: The Transforming Power of Ego Relaxation (also available here in audiobook format), Boundless Love, and Meditations on Boundless Love (audiobook). Born in Australia, Miranda founded the OneSpirit Interfaith Foundation in London, where where she trained and ordained over 600 ministers. Today she leads the Living Grace sangha in Northern California and holds retreats internationally.

Miranda’s work is a holistic approach to spiritual surrender and nondual realization that embraces the totality of our human experience as a gateway into Grace. It includes self-inquiry, spiritual psychology, devotion, and meditation practice, drawn from extensive study of the world’s wisdom traditions, her own awakening process and and thirty years experience guiding others into direct experience of the Sacred. Unapologetically feminine, joyful and down to earth in her way of being, Miranda is devoted to loving people back into the freedom and wholeness of their true nature.

THE SETTING - Lane End Conference Centre

In order to fully support your journey during this weekend retreat, we have chosen a really beautiful venue which provides the opportunity for even more relaxation and diving within.  There is a non-residential option available too for those who prefer to travel each day but we strongly recommend giving yourself the gift of this precious weekend away from your daily routine.

Lane End is a residential conference centre set in 26 acres of the rolling Chiltern Hills near High Wycombe, boasting a truly idyllic location with the best of both worlds; peaceful surroundings and easy access from both the M4 and M40. Lane End is only 30 miles from central London and within 30 minutes from Heathrow Airport.  Click here to see it on a map.

All the bedrooms include en-suite facilities, fresh towels, toiletries, flatscreen TV, study desk, telephone, hairdryer, iron and ironing board.

All meals and refreshments are included and we will be offering vegetarian and gluten-free options as well.

As well as enjoying walks through the grounds in between the group sessions with Miranda, you might also want to check out the the gym, sauna and steam room, golf course or have a game of table tennis.

We are delighted to be able to offer some additional body work/movement to support the work you will do on this retreat.  It is entirely optional but highly recommended that you participate in a a short movement and energy practice before breakfast each morning with Anja Saunders who is a dear friend and trusted colleague of Miranda's.

Anja has been teaching movement and bodywork for the last 40 years. Starting out with dance and physical theatre, she moved on to the healing arts, headed a massage school for 17 years and specialised as an Alexander Teacher.

Alexander Technique is about becoming aware of our responses to the world and noticing how some of them cause us unnecessary  stress. Through this awareness we have the possibility to let go of habitual patterns and move and act again from our core being, naturally as we are.

Tai Ji is her daily movement/energy practise and she has studied various forms. Since 1992 Chungliang Al Hunag has been her teacher and she now practises the Living Tao circle forms.

She ordained as an interfaith minister in 2010 and the last 10 years she dived deeply into Vedanta teachings under the guidance of James Swartz. She visits Thiruvannamalai in India once a year for spiritual retreat and her daily life is now rooted in non dual awareness.

She invites you to join her in her early morning tai ji practice for a grounded as well as expanded start of the day and she is very much looking forward to exploring and sharing the connection between Miranda’s teaching and how we actualise this in our miraculous body/minds through movement with grace.
